I've looked at the settings for my Exchange account, and can't see anything that seems unusual. Using Yosemite (OSX 10.10) and the included Mail application (which describes itself as 'Version 8.0 (1990.1)' to read mail held on a company Exchange server, I am finding that the unread marks for messages are not being reliably updated. But this Input section is essential for my FORM. Hello Im using the Annotate Picture add-on feature at first it was working well, but last entries Im not receiving the Inputs from it. I have two other mail accounts in Mail, and have no issues with either of them. Images are not showing in the notification email. Settings, System, Notifications & actions, near the bottom for the Mail app. On the Settings screen, click on the General tab and select. Login to your Gmail Account, click on the Gear icon located at the top right corner of your screen and then click on Settings in the drop-down menu. Settings, System, Notifications & actions, at the top for all apps. If images are not showing in Gmail, make sure that Always display external images option is checked in General Settings of Gmail. This seems to be only an issue with the Exchange account. Mail notifications have to be enabled in three places: Mail, Settings, Notifications. In case it matters, I'm running on an Early 2011 MBP with 8Gb RAM.

I have also noticed that the unread count on the Inbox does not behave consistently: sometimes it is decremented even though the message still shows as Unread, sometimes the number does not change. Ensure Sync messages is set to Last 30 days or All then tap. If fixing the above causes would not work then you can use the other processes for Apple mail not working with Gmail issues as discussed below.

For example, in this screenshot, I have clicked on all of these messages, and some have updated and some have not: This no longer happens reliably: some messages are marked as read, others are not. Before the Yosemite upgrade, whenever I selected the message summary in the left hand pane, it was instantly marked as "read".
